This true and sad story is detailed in the 1996 movie "The Ghost and the Darkness."

Today, this 21,000 sq km park, divided into Tsavo East and Tsavo West, is safe and is a magical paradise! It is one of the largest parks in the whole world, a haven to over 1000 plant species, 400 bird species and more than 60 major mammal species.
